Christmas nail art pink snowflakes and holo.

Hello there Nailmates!

pink snowflakes with holo accent
Pink snowflakes nail art

I wanted a pink manicure for Christmas and like always I was craving some extra sparkly nails, which meant I had to add holo. I started with a pink base and decided to stamp some lovely snowflakes in different sizes, shapes and colors. (If you are just interested to find out what plates and polishes I used to create this mani just scroll all the way down.)

For my base I used Sinful Shine: "Sailor's Delight" this polish: is so hard to work with and makes my nails look  bulky and shapeless; it actually took 6 or 7 coats for the polish to look decent,  the formula is terrible it's: thin, patchy and drags the polish around. I had to add 2 extra coats of Seche Vite for it to dry somewhat fast. Although next time I'll use a white base under and see if it makes this beautiful shade worthwhile.

Well after hating the base I was close to scraping it and leaving them nakeys but my wise (lazy) inner-guru talked me out of it. The holo accent nail was pretty easy to achieve with my trustworthy Color Club Halo Holos; once the pink was completely dry I stamped the snowflakes with an EBAY bought "clear stamper" and stamped over my holo nail (a pink to white gradient) Christmas tree , then glued a tiny duo-chrome star shaped sequin, topped with 2 coats of Seche Vite and voilà a mani to be proud.
